DrDoctor is a fast-growing digital health company founded in 2012. Our technology improves appointment scheduling, increases clinic efficiency by reducing no-shows and fills empty slots. We save the NHS millions of pounds each year and are currently deployed across 22 major hospitals around the UK including Guy’s and St Thomas’ & Great Ormond Street.

We’re looking for a Head of People to help us recruit, train and keep the best team while protecting our culture as we scale the company.

What would I do at DrDoctor?

Are you someone who enjoys people puzzles?  What makes people tick and how do you get the most out of a high performing team?

We’re recruiting hard and looking to grow the team.  To do that we’ll need to identify the best people that fit with our culture and will add the most value to the company.  You’ll need to set our recruiting strategy and manage the process to make sure we use a consistent approach to all roles.

You will be the one to help nurture the existing team and make sure everyone is able to work to the best of their abilities.  You’ll look at how teams are structured, what our reporting lines are, the internal and external training, and whether people have clear roles, goals and targets.  As we grow the team it will put strain on different areas and you’ll be the one to identify where the growing pains are and what we can do to help this.

This is a wide-ranging role and will bring you into contact with teams and people at all levels of the company.  You should be up to date on the fundamentals of employment law and comfortable engaging teams in both large and small group sessions.

Key responsibilities

  • Find, develop, motivate and retain the team

  • Managing recruitment process and attract the best people

  • Talent manager and coaching for existing staff

  • Design and oversee the internal and external training programme

  • Onboarding and mentoring for new recruits

  • Easing growth pains in the teams as you help us grow the company

  • Work with the senior team to develop the best management practices

What are we looking for?

You must:

  • Have broad People Ops experience including management of performance, change and cultural development

  • Have experience in effective talent acquisition in a fast-growing company

  • Have proven experience of scaling teams in a start-up environment

  • Be solution focused, hands-on and willing to get things done

  • Be comfortable with ambiguity, a business moving at speed, and non-stop problem solving, building, and action

  • Be extremely proactive in your working style in order to fit into a fast paced business with a flat structure

Bonus points for:

  • CIPD qualifications

  • Coaching qualifications

What we offer

  • A fun and exciting work environment

  • Flexible working hours and some remote working

  • 25 days holiday

  • Discretionary bonus

  • Salary £45,000 per annum
